The technology player of the defense industry meets the “third wave” AI professionals: with sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT and AI company 21stategies, two of Europe’s leading innovators in their industries agree on a strategic collaboration. The goal is to jointly drive the development of the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI) for defense systems. To this end, HENSOLDT is participating in a strategic 21 financing round, which will give the cooperation a solid foundation. Artificial intelligence is critical to the performance of many of HENSOLDT’s products. The agreed partnership will take HENSOLDT’s AI competencies to a new level. Because with new so-called third wave AI approaches, such as Cognitive AI, decisions in combat situations and reaction to unknown threats can be decisively accelerated. In addition, interesting synergies arise from the combination with HENSOLDT’s existing Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) competencies, which will augment AI performance in the future.

GhostPlay project of the Technology and Digitization Research Center of the German Armed Forces
21 trains next-generation AI strategies for optimal decision-making at machine speed, enabling users to quickly and efficiently make and execute tactical decisions in complex and uncertain situations. The two companies are already working closely together on the GhostPlay project of the Technology and Digitization Research Center of the German Armed Forces (DTEC.Bw).
